A League Made By Athletes, For Athletes

meet our founder

L’oreal Gamble is a Raleigh, NC native. For 20+ years has been involved in the basketball community in essentially every way. From recreational leagues, middle school, high school, AAU, college, and semi-pro she has excelled at every level. L’oreal is a member of The Fayetteville State University Hall of Fame. She played professionally for five years in Serbia, Romania, and Germany before birthing a second son into her family. Even after this, she once again became active, where she practiced with women’s teams in Italy, Spain, and Israel continuing to stay around the game all while birthing a third son. L’oreal is also CEO of Crossover The Net Consulting with a focus on helping women transition and thrive into life and challenges faced while living and/or playing abroad. In November of 2022, L’oreal was a featured speaker in the WNBA Her Time To Play event at her high school, Southeast Raleigh Magnet High. This event also featured players from the WNBA and allowed high school basketball teams from around the area to see the players, train with them, and ask questions.

L’oreal is married to her husband, Julian Gamble, and is the mother of three boys; Jaycian, Laithan, and Leelan. L’oreal has a deep and personal passion in helping women and providing them a safe place to enjoy their love for the game of basketball. Her goal is to create an environment that can help advance the women’s game to a new level through friendship, guidance, and community.

BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE

A high level all women’s league is hard to find anywhere nowadays. Having the Life’s a Gamble League right at home made it fun and very convenient. The competitiveness kept me in shape for my upcoming season.
